During last week, participants sent by the organisations involved in the KA2 Project “Youth Work for Integration” met in Skopje for a mobility event, the second event of the project funded by the EU Commission. They came to Skopje from Italy, North Macedonia, Spain and Romania.
The selected participants had the opportunity to learn and exchange best practices, tools, methodologies aimed to increase the quality of youth work as tool for improving the inclusion and the integration of migrants inside local communities.
The encounters with local experts about migration gave them also the opportunity to know more in dept migration phenomena across the Balkan region in direction to European countries, to better understand the human rights issues that arise from the movement of big amount of people, and to understand the geopolitical context between the countries involved and their final destination countries.
The participants had identified the main objectives that youth NGOs have to follow for contributing to improve migrants’ integration in the communities and worked on new project ideas about the main topic. Moreover, they reflected together on tips and suggestions for the Erasmus+ programme aiming to improve contribution to the social inclusion of migrants in the local communities.
In the next months, partners will focus on analysis of local contexts and on systematization and evaluation of reached results in view of the last meeting in Rome, leaded by the coordinating organisation IDEA EUROPA APS.
